It's the dog days of summer on The NOR CAL Report! But we're barkin' up the right tree — as Giants top dog Barry Zito joins the dynamic duo for chat about all things baseball, musical, and more. Plus:
The Earthquakes shake things up by signing their first-ever "Beckham rule" player, the stellar Brazilian midfielder Geovanni. Could this move mean instant playoffs for the 'Quakes?
The Giants go from the brink of first place, to the brink of out of the race. There's still time, of course — but there's also room to debate the merits of bats like Jose Guillen...
The A's plug onward, riding a recipe of stellar pitching and flaccid batting to an even .500 result. But where will it land them at year's end? If the A's go 25-16 for the final 41 games and the Rangers go 17-24, the A's win the West by one game does that mean a single offseason can make them a force again?
