December '07: Week 1 (with Mikhael Pietrus)

This week on the Nor Cal Pro Sports Pod: half the local teams have finally caught fire, while the stragglers are made up for by a dicey Hot Stove in baseball.

The irrepressible Mikhael Pietrus joins the Pod's Bruce MacGowan for a walk through the NBA, the Bay Area, and his French and Carribbean homes. Meanwhile, Mikhael's Warriors assert themselves as one of the NBA's most feared teams, as they stare down a pair of exciting Friday night dates at Oracle;

The Raiders string a pair of wins together, as they turn the tables on bitter rival Denver. No one's talking playoffs, but Coach Kiffin's recent decisions and a JaMarcus Russell sighting make a huge difference;

The Kings fell another impressive foe, hanging a high number on Utah, but paying an even higher price;

The 49ers flounder once again, coming up empty against a middling Carolina squad. Next up, the Vikings, and a rookie showdown between pop sensation Adrian Peterson and Singletary protégé Patrick Willis;

The Sharks have put it all together, showing mismatch speed and a strong jaw from a loaded roster;

The Giants make headlines as they agonize over sending away a young stud; while the A's-Bonds rumors won't go away as the Mitchell Report looms.

UP NEXT: The Pod studios are graced by a legend! The original West Coast hip hop guru, Oaktown icon, and local sports buff, Too Short sits down with Lex for a lengthy talk on sports, music, and the ways of the world. The boys also remember to cover all the local teams, and refrain from asking Short Dawg for autographs... or a loan.
